Amy Noseworthy (they/them) is an illustrator, cartoonist, teacher, and researcher whose work explores the intersection of queerness, neurodivergence, autobiography, and through comics. They explore illustration and cartooning as a means of community engagement, are committed to making art for social change, and to artmaking and storytelling as vehicles for personal growth, healing, and fulfillment. Their true love is putting pen to paper to explore everyday life, autistic antics, parenting and politics via the time-honoured tradition of the comic strip.

Amy studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, in the Cartooning and Illustration program at George Brown College, and they hold a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Art and Design from OCADu. Their comics have been featured in The Grind Magazine, Plumbago Magazine and Diverse Minds magazine, and several anthologies – including the Ignatz Award winning Pulping. Their webcomic Normal Human Adult is available on Instagram (@hiredhandstudio) and they are currently hard at work on their first book-length project – Mamahood: Comic Adventures in Queer Parenting.

I regularly post short comics and works in progress on Instagram.
